HIV/AIDS Prevention

The HIV/AIDS Education program provides HIV/AIDS evidence based adaptation of Many Men, Many Voices Interventions to adults and juvenile men of the Orange County Correctional System. The program is staffed with Intervention Specialists who are certified by the Center for Disease Control to do a five phase intervention with the incarcerated males.

The group level intervention heightens knowledge, awareness, assesses and aid in the personal risk and behaviors of HIV infection that can put incarcerated men at risk of contracting and transmitting the HIV virus. The HIV/AIDS education interventions are conducted weekly in the Orange County Correctional Facility. The Interventions are broken into five phases. The incarcerated men are given a certificate upon completion.
